Job Description

About This Role:

As part of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neurorepair (MS&N) Research Unit, the individual will be expected to lead one of the three groups composing the Neuroinflammation branch of the MS&N unit aiming at the development of innovative CNS-penetrant therapeutics to target disease progression in multiple sclerosis. In collaboration with the unit leadership team, the individual will be responsible for the design and effective execution of the research strategy and advancement of several drug discovery projects at various stages of the preclinical pipeline with a goal to successfully advance these programs to R2D and FIH in the next 2 to 3 years. In this role, the individual will also be expected to leverage his/her drug discovery expertise to mentor more junior Scientists within the unit as well as contribute to the identification and validation of new targets for entry into the MS&N pipeline. Finally, the candidate will also be expected to contribute to increased fundamental understanding of neuroinflammation by maintaining exploratory research activities and publishing high quality publications to report findings.
